Chief Executive Officer

Andrew K. Surprise has been an independent Communications Consultant for over a decade. He provides management and communications services for state and local campaigns, consultancies, and non-profit organizations. His professional background includes research and advocacy services, organizational development efforts, fundraising campaigns, and donor development for non-profits. He also regularly conducts legislative advocacy instruction for citizen and issue organizations.

Having served for four years from 2016 to 2020 as a City Councilor in Westfield, Massachusetts, the experience provided him a broad understanding of municipal regulation and finance, as well as economic development practices. He continues to be involved in his community by serving on the boards of several local organizations, including as Executive Vice-President of ArtWorks Westfield, an organization he helped to found, and dedicated to bringing music, cultural, and artistic events to downtown Westfield to assist in development. Andrew also serves as a board member of the Westfield Taxpayers Association, and as a Corporator for Shurtleff Children’s Services Inc.

Issues and projects Andrew is working on as CEO and Executive Vice-President for the Quaboag Hills Chamber of Commerce include offering modern member services such as marketing and trainings for small businesses, advocacy on behalf of our member businesses, better connections with state and local officials, addressing local regulations, zoning, taxes, planning, and emphasizing a symbiotic relationship between the education systems and the regional business community. Another priority is to provide assistance to local communities in identifying best practices and programs to drive economic development.
